Sam Risak is an English PhD candidate studying addiction narratives at The Ohio State University. She has her MFA in Creative Writing from Chapman University and is the Creative Nonfiction Editor for Sweet: A Literary Confection. Her writing combines the critical with the creative and can be found in The Sun, Los Angeles Review of Books, Electric Literature, Lit Hub, Journal of American Folklore, and elsewhere.
